Welcome to the SGMP Greater Pittsburgh Chapter
The Chapter was Chartered on 22 June 2010 as the 31st Chapter for the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. SGMP Greater Pittsburgh provides educational, social and networking activities to Government Planners, Contract Planners and Suppliers in and around the Greater Pittsburgh region throughout the 2010-2011 year.

SGMP is a nonprofit professional organization of persons involved in planning government meetings, either on a full or part-time basis, and those individuals who supply services to government planners. Our objectives are to improve the quality and promote the cost effectiveness of government meetings by improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and management of government meetings through education, training, and industry relationships.
The Society of Government Meeting Professionals is the only national organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and execution of government meetings through education, training, and industry relationships.
